To conclude my mini-series on new archetypes, what about some female representation? So far we have had No-face and Totoro, both from early Miyazaki films. Kiki, from the charming Kiki's Delivery Service, is also in an early film. Layer Miyazaki films, I find, are more autobiographical, with a different vibe about them.
