Another great and thought provoking read. I think one reason why society is so passive regarding the issues that face us, in the real world, is because we have been duped into living in fantasy worlds, online, and through social media. There is no need to protest against the real problems of this world, if you can escape into a role playing game or into a false and safe social construct, created by those who manipulate the choices we are given. We can be so easily desensitised to the real world, by those who control our computer lives. The propaganda of the media is bad enough but the hypnotism of our online activity, carefully moulds and caressed us, in certain directions by means that seem innocent on the surface. It is almost like reality has become like a movie; out there; not real at all, and it is so easy to run to our online safety net, to feel safe in our own cyber world.
